Hello gentle reader (although not included below, I'm a bit of a Bridgeton fan). I thought it was time that I give you a few more facts about me. Nothing scandalous, sorry, but some fluff that I thought you should know about me. Hope this helps you connect with me on a deeper level, so without further ado:
I'm determined to have a year where I read 100 books: I love reading, but what with writing a trilogy and starting a business, I haven't read as much as I did in the past. I'm determined to turn this around in 2022
I'm a homebody: I love to travel, but when I'm home, I love being home
Dorothy Zbornak is my spirit animal: If you don't know who that is: 1. I'm so sorry and 2. find out, you'll thank me. If you do, God I wish I was that quick witted!
I've named all my cars: The current one, a 2007 Toyota Camry is Daddy-O, in honor of my late father
I've never worn make-up: Don't know why, but at 52, I've decided to try it out. What they hey, it's never too late to try something new.
My favorite books are those that have fictional characters mix with real historical people, a la The Alienist
I like colorful clothing: I worked a job that demanded an all black wardrobe. I hate it. Didn't know I would, but I did. Given a choice, I'll take jewel tones.
Favorite long term song (versus favorite current song which changed quite a lot): Midnight Blue by Lou Graham
I haven't seen any of the new Star Wars films: Not sorry
I have never been on TicTok: I know, it's the latest new thing, but I just can't. I have only so much focus and I get the time suck vibe from it. I stay away for the sake of my sanity
I'm addicted to HGTV: Ben and Erin, Mina and Karen, Drew and Jonathan, Nate and Jeremiah cannot get enough. I love watching creative people be creative and the push and pull between ideas. Best of all, everybody wins. Life is full of winners and losers, I like the few places where no one loses out
BHAG goal: To create a blogging space that also functions as a community builder

One thing I wish I had more of: Patience. More money, that's always welcome. More time, well, we all want that, but the want I wish for about all, more patience. For the small stuff, the petty disturbances of the day to day. For the big stuff, where it matters. Yep, patience.

One skill I wished I possessed is the ability to sing: I LOVE musical theater. I grew up with the VCR, and when it came along, movie studies realized they had vaults of content and released all their golden age musicals. I wanted to jump into them, just like they did in Mary Poppins, and get lost. However, I lacked the pipes. Still a major disappointment.

My biggest regret is never seeing Prince live in concert. You think, he's not that much older than me, I have time. Damn!
The movie Elizabethtown isn't great. Rates a 5 out of 10 overall. BUT it gets gold stars from me for its road trip. I'm going to take one like it someday.
